Packing for Vacation

I'm still playing catch up

We stayed at the Wyatt

Last year, my husband and I, for our anniversary went to Jamaica and I styled my hair in box braids. The only hair products I packed were Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner and some Shea Butter. Very simple.

This year we stayed a little closer to home and while the box braids were perfect for Jamaica I didn't really want to walk around D.C. looking like a 5-yr old. What's a girl to do?

First, I had to decide what I was going to do with my hair for a week and that would make the product selection a little easier. I decided to go with twists and wash-n-gos.

For product selection, I decided to pack:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Leave-in Conditioner
Shower Comb
Denman(like) brush
Hair Butter
Hair Oil

Each night when I showered I co-washed or shampooed depending on how icky my hair felt. Then I put my hair into three flat twist on each side so that my hair would dry quickly over night. It wasn't too time consuming and didn't interfere with our vacation. Plus I got to wear big hair everyday! ;)

What hair products do make sure to pack for trips?

hey mr. DJ

this is what i do when i can't sleep...
i use the Photo DJ program in my cell phone to edit photos and make them look like cartoons or painting.
oh, sometimes, i do take random photos of myself too and my dog =)

the perfect thing to do after eating a hearty breakfast

while manila was going crazy over ondoy, i was in palawan and very oblivious to this tragedy (hey, it was my bday!)

i've got the whole world at my feet

ringing new year '07 in boracay with a bang together with my best friend

in zambales for my annual surf trip

enjoying a sumptuous meal in nomnomnom before hitting the road up north

basking the sun in dos palmas for my 25th bday

trying to practice and perfect my paddling skills

oh, how i miss those days where we can layer.

up up up up up up in the air

boyfriends really do come and go but friends stay

i wonder where i'll be celebrating my bday this year...HMMM.

bike rides, dirty ice cream and cotton candies

awwww tweet from my cousin: it's more fun with you around cuz...you're still here and I'm missing you already :(

take me back to your sweet loving arms, beach...

guilty pleasure 101: drying in my bikini with my fave read

the perfect happy hour drink: margarita, baby

and mojitos are perfect for chill nights by the beach

i will forever remember how amazing ilocos norte's bangui windmills was (still is)

i've got sunshine on a cloudy day....

piggy back rides with papa

no one hits the beach without taking the famous jump shot

vodka 7 + acoustic nights at bombom = PERFECTION

this is the first summer in three years that i am not in boracay :( :( :(

i presume this is how AGUA would look like...LOL

oh baguio, oh baguio, oh baguio...i will always love you.

charina sarte makes the best maxi dresses NO DOUBT.

the girls that brought sexy back

oh boracay, how do i love thee? let me count the ways...

im sort of all over the place right now.. but we'll catch up eventually

zamba hits

WHAT'S UP SURFERS?

so i know i said i'll behave because frankly, i've been out-of-town every weekend for almost two months already and my wallet just cannot take it anymore. however, who can say no to old high school friends when they say that they'll just treat you? and so i did pack my bags again and went on an impromptu beach trip to zambales with my old friends :)

some of you might get confused since i went to an all girls school in high school and i'm with boys in this trip. well, of course we didn't go to the same school. it's funny that i met jake and sid through my ex-bf when they were studying in ateneo. i met audz who went to holy through her brother sid and i met reg who went to ob through everyone else.
all of us are fairview people so you know, the rest as they say is history...
and these pictures will just tell you the story...

i am loving reg's "survivor ondoy" shirt. he's originally from marikina and is literally an ondoy survivor.

we had our merienda in nomnomnom before hitting the road. nomnomnom is now my fave resto! i love the vibe of the place and the food is cheap yet really nomnom :)

the day after we had too much apeach to drink...our pusons will be the witnesses to this tragic event. LOL!

we arrived in crystal beach around 9 pm already so what else can we do but drink the night away before the liquor ban, right?

the morning after...hangover hits!

TRF off shoulder top. thrifted denim shorts. longchamp eiffel tower bag. havianas flip flops.

wearing my nafnaf red bikini top and bikini bottom from freeway

alcohol overload!!!!!!!!!!! sinong nagsabing liquor ban?

team stripes FTW!

having no luck with waves....

i wasn't prepared with my outfits but my hat was sucha hit!

wearing my DIY topshop bikini

LOVE: aldo shades

bye zamba...till we meet again!

we had to get back in time for mother's day and the elections.
so to my mom, happy mother's day!
and oh, it's audz' bday today, happy bday audz!!!!

P.S.
how did your voting go?
a lot of people are complaining about how long it took for them to stand in line and wait to vote while it took me only 5 minutes to do so. kudos to our precint!
i hope yours went well too :)
and since the finger photo is a new trend...here's a twitpic of mine.
now we hope, we wait, and we pray. Your will be done in this country, Father.
