here are some photos from artwear 2010 last week where i volunteered. we were given specific wardrobe instructions (all black ensemble, business casual but still fashionable, no plunging, not too short, comfy shoes) so my outfit was a bit well...like all of those specific instructions. HAHA! and i also came from my 8-5 job that day so forgive my haggard look. we had to stand and work the whole time too (from 5pm-12am) so there was really no chance to retouch. i wasn't able to take decent pictures too but thanks to another volunteer Rigo Alvarado of alvaradofineart.com/blog, i actually have decent photos to show my readers ;)
i decided to volunteer for this event since i'm so used to this kind of scene in the Philippines and i just had to see what it was like here. well, i'm glad that there are actually people here like me. i haven't exactly seen a room full of fashionistas ever since i got here so thanks to this event; my soul is now rejuvenated...although i must say that the show was a bit amateurish compared to the ones i've attended back home. but i'm giving the alberta fashion scene another chance...i won't judge until i see their fashion week ;)
a big shout out to the new friends i've made, my co-volunteers:
coritha, shar, betha, steph, tayler and rigo!
beso ?
