PLAYING WITH RED AND PINK

HELLO LOVELIES! I know I was supposed to do a blog entry about my room last weekend but I got so preoccupied with spontaneous happenings and so I'll make it up to you guys next time :) As usual, I thought I was gonna have a steady weekend but instead I was out from Friday to Sunday! Went to Southcentre with Dee to get Rihanna tickets last Friday and then decided to go back to her house to drink (we did a little shopping at Value Village too and I bought some gym outfits and RL dressy shorts). Little did I know, the whole house is up for a party and we stayed up until 4 am doing karaoke, drinking champagne, Bailey's and red wine all together. Woke up the next day with a major hangover (the last one I had was NYE, I think!) but come dinner time, there was an overload of food from kare-kare, chopseuy and teriyaki. We were supposed to have another drinking sesh but alas, I was kidnapped by Swiss Army (which is good cos my tummy was hurting and I don't think I can ever drink again that time) and my Saturday night was instead spent watching 127 Hours (perfect thing to do when there's a major snow storm outside in the middle of what is supposed to be spring time). Sunday, I went back to Dee's cos I was feeling a bit melodramatic and we had another overload of food from pansit to liempo and had a steady drinking sesh of red wine and champagne.

I would prolly not wear too much color in one outfit but Canada just really turned me into a more colorful person...which is good, I think. I have to spice up my wardrobe and try new things, yeah?

What did you do last weekend?

P.S.
April is the birthday month of my blog and I have a lot in store for you, lovelies! Come back~

THE MIDI SKIRT

Worked for 10 hours straight today and I am seriously tired I cannot function. I am so busy that I don't get to sit in front of my computer anymore for a long time (like I used to). I am so tired that I am in bed by 10 (the other day, it was 8!). I have a lot of things to attend to like emails, comments, PMs, mentions, text messages, etc. and I must admit I am the worst friend right now and a terrible blogger. Good thing I have backlog photo outfits to post because I seriously have no time this week to take even one single outfit shot.

This post is actually a continuation of my last entry. This was taken early Sunday morning after eating hearty mini bagels, waffle; drinking apple juice and hot coffee with Dee. I was too lazy to do anything with my hair and so I just kept it up ala-Chicmuse. I feel so Asian (a bit of goth too which is not what I am trying to pull off in any way whatsoever) when I put my hair up like this (add to that the really red lips). While doing the shot, I had to multi-task by boiling some water for the tuna pasta lunch that I will serve to my lovely friend. I swear...I've cooked so much for Dee than I did with my previous boyfriends. No wonder our relationship is stronger. LOL ;) Eat and run she did. I was left alone, took a nap, had dinner and watched one of my fave movies of all-time, Chocolat :)

Tomorrow marks the first day of April and for the first time in months, I can actually see our patio again. The sun is shinning, the weather's warm, I can wear leggings and a leather jacket. I know that midi skirts are big this spring and although what I am wearing is actually a maxi dress, I did my own nip and tucking to make it look like a midi skirt....yes? :)

P.S.
This is the 1st floor of the house but I always take photos here so this is nothing new. Come back this weekend and I'll be posting some photos of my modest room...cos you asked for it! :)

I'VE GOT THE BLUES

Supposed to sleep right after work today but I remembered I have to be a responsible blogger and post a new blog entry. I am exhausted beyond words which is the price you pay when you go out on a Monday night. Spontaneously picked up by Swiss Army who was so excited to have his new GPS (and not get lost around Calgary) and drove by Peter's Drive-In for some good ol' famous milkshake that I have no idea whatsoever until last night. After almost 8 months in this city, all I've memorized are the shopping places. I seriously need a Calgarian who can show me around. Any takers? :)

Moving on, please do not take my title seriously...I do not have the blues. In fact, I am feeling totally the opposite of that. I'm all giddy, happy and excited lately. Look at the outfit and take it literally though.

The house was left to me the whole weekend since everyone went to Banff. I've decided a while back that I'm gonna have ME time all weekend but instead I went shopping at Southcentre with Dee last Friday and got myself these new wedge booties from Spring (last pair + my size = SOLEMATE), oxfords from Steve Madden and a loot from Ardene composed of a new ring and 2 OTK socks as a reward for myself cos im just 5 pounds away from my original weight. WOOT WOOT!!!

I was in my sweats, nibbling on popcorn and watching Mean Girls on TV when my phone rang...It was Dee saying she's coming over and bringing some wine. I thought, "Screw ME time, I always have fun with Dee anyway." A few minutes later, Dee was knocking at my door with a bottle of Astii Martini champagne instead of wine...This calls for a celebration! I changed into this outfit and we took turns taking outfit photos. I know you guys always see the 1st floor of the house but now it's time that you see what is upstairs. Not that this house is mine...I live here, yes but I don't own it (I wish!). I popped the champagne after taking photos, prepared some salami, cheese, pita, challah, guacamole, humus and we sat in front of the TV watching The Devil Wears Prada. When the mouse is away and the weather is shitty...staying in with your BFF is your best bet.
What did you do last weekend? ;)

FLOPPY HAWWWWWT!

Woke up from a nap today feeling all grumpy, hungry and exhausted. It was seriously bad timing for those people who sent me a text. I became this brutally blunt bitch which I would never ever really do in real life. Thinking now if I should take back what I've said or stand by it since it's what I wanted to say all along (just didn't have the guts to). I seriously think that it is loooong overdue and my friends think I am wasting my time but it's hard when it suddenly becomes a routine/bad habit. So lets see how things would go after I take a long warm shower and dinner. I will definitely keep you guys posted.

Moving on, this is what I wore last last weekend when Dee and I went to Chinook for some sushi and shopping (got myself this hat and runners because it is 50% off plus I've been using the same ol' runners for the past 5 years!). This is as casual I can get. I didn't know I wore too much skirt lately but I do believe that jeans (when styled right) are as sexy as hell. Agree? :)

I've been looking for the perfect floppy hat for months and finally found the one! I got this hat at Chapel hats for $35 which is a little pricier than the ones I've seen in Aldo, etc. but I've always known how floppy I wanted the floppy hat to be and this is just perfectly right on! I am thinking of getting another one in khaki with prolly a different "flop"...Chapel hats is amaziiiiiiiiiing if you are looking for those hats that you never ever thought you would find. I think hats can make any outfit look stylish and interesting when it was just supposed to be bland. They say shoes should be the exclamation point of any outfit but I think a hat could do that too ;)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, lovelies~
