I'VE GOT THE BLUES

Supposed to sleep right after work today but I remembered I have to be a responsible blogger and post a new blog entry. I am exhausted beyond words which is the price you pay when you go out on a Monday night. Spontaneously picked up by Swiss Army who was so excited to have his new GPS (and not get lost around Calgary) and drove by Peter's Drive-In for some good ol' famous milkshake that I have no idea whatsoever until last night. After almost 8 months in this city, all I've memorized are the shopping places. I seriously need a Calgarian who can show me around. Any takers? :)

Moving on, please do not take my title seriously...I do not have the blues. In fact, I am feeling totally the opposite of that. I'm all giddy, happy and excited lately. Look at the outfit and take it literally though.

The house was left to me the whole weekend since everyone went to Banff. I've decided a while back that I'm gonna have ME time all weekend but instead I went shopping at Southcentre with Dee last Friday and got myself these new wedge booties from Spring (last pair + my size = SOLEMATE), oxfords from Steve Madden and a loot from Ardene composed of a new ring and 2 OTK socks as a reward for myself cos im just 5 pounds away from my original weight. WOOT WOOT!!!

I was in my sweats, nibbling on popcorn and watching Mean Girls on TV when my phone rang...It was Dee saying she's coming over and bringing some wine. I thought, "Screw ME time, I always have fun with Dee anyway." A few minutes later, Dee was knocking at my door with a bottle of Astii Martini champagne instead of wine...This calls for a celebration! I changed into this outfit and we took turns taking outfit photos. I know you guys always see the 1st floor of the house but now it's time that you see what is upstairs. Not that this house is mine...I live here, yes but I don't own it (I wish!). I popped the champagne after taking photos, prepared some salami, cheese, pita, challah, guacamole, humus and we sat in front of the TV watching The Devil Wears Prada. When the mouse is away and the weather is shitty...staying in with your BFF is your best bet.

Sunday, woke up with Dee beside me. It actually feels good to have someone beside you. No, I'm not turning into a lesbian. I love men...just sayennnnnnnnn' =P

It's more wonderful to actually wake up with a girl beside you than a boy. I mean, Dee knows well that I am not the touchy feely type. Leave me alone when I just woke up cos I can be grumpy and don't force me to get out of bed and make you breakfast. After about an hour or so, I got up and made Dee breakky-- eggs, hotdogs, potatoes, fish fillet, chicken poppers with some leftover fried rice and pita bread. Girl's so lucky cos I never cook. I do cook when I have the time and the inspiration. While Dee was doing her thing (which means facebook-ing), I was back in bed listening to Moonriver and my Steady Sunday Play List. But the weather was so warm again outside that we just had to take advantage of it -- walked around my neighborhood, took photos, made snow angels, laughed, went to the park and just being silly 12 year olds again. LIFE IS GOOOOOOOOOOOD :)

In the middle of all those activities, I decided to sew my white faux fur vest. No, I didn't sew it from scratch. I just needed to alter it cos when I got it from Winners it was XL but I just couldn't resist it cos it was just $16!!!! Thank God for my innate sewing skills! TOTAL SCORE!!!!!

so how's your weekend so far lovelies? 

i went to my tito's house blessing today then i went home, took a nap and headed straight to the nearby thrift shop! i don't exactly like the thrift store near our village but i just can't contain myself! i gave myself only P200 budget because i know things are on sale and fortunately, i did stick to my budget! well, it was over P35 but still...you can't beat that! i was able to get some shorts for P75 and the biker boots i am wearing in this photo. i did however managed to do some tricks with the boots like what i would always do with my other mid-calf, knee or even over-the-knee boots. if you are new to my blog, the trick is in making my mid-calf biker boots look like ankle boots. it's easy to fold your boots actually...must-try if you haven't :) 

oh, i am wearing my glasses in this entry! i was feeling a little geeky today! i haven't worn my glasses in ages! i am 20-20 but i wear my glasses back when i was in school and we had to be in front of the computer all the time. my eyes dry up easily.
