hello summer!

HELLO SUMMER!

so i was lying in bed in this dress while waiting for abby to pick me up and i felt kind of weird wearing a summer-y dress in the city in february. but i guess it's really summer already and there's no stopping it! damn stupid global warming!

on a good note, abby gave me the je t'aime necklace i'm wearing and also an eiffel-printed printed pouch. as if the french stuffs aren't enough, we saw a couple of eiffel and paris-inspired tops at zara and topshop.
WE DIIIIIED!!!!
unfortunately, we didn't get any but knowing us, we will definitely go back for it :)
we did, however, had our fair share of shopping finds.
as always, click more for more.

cropped corset. kimono maxi dress used as a skirt. Mirror Mirror studded belt. Rustan's beaded T-flats. thrifted chained sling bag. Forever 21 canvas tote and Je t'aime necklace both given friends. red ring and shades from bazaar.

1st stop was cafe breton in greenbelt 3 for some brunch and to get our minds going as we shop as early as 11 am! did some shopping then got too thirsty and tired so we headed to SBC in greenbelt 3 too for some refreshments...and we went back to more shopping over and over again...ladies and gentlemen =P

what i shopped for:
two-toned tights from Topshop
three skirts from Landmark

what abby got:
Topshop plastic sandals
and
to be continued....
LOL!

what i wished i also got:
Zara je t'aime/eiffel inspired shirt (didn't buy it cos it was too manipis but realized later on i can put a blazer or a jacket over it)
sweetheart dress from the Landmark (didn't buy it because it shows a hell lot of panty lines but realized i can use it as a top instead with a skirt perharps)
zebra-printed leggings from the Landmark
heart or dotted tights from Topshop

i told you the mall is evil!!!

P.S.
je t'aime aussi, abby

innerwear is the new outer wear

HAPPY WEEKEND Y'ALL!

so i guess it's really summer already! man, is it hot!!!! if you don't believe me, look at the last picture of me sweating! i didn't intend to gross you out but i only wanted to show you guys my corset. i used to love summer but that was back when summer starts mid-march and not february! i'm telling you, the fashion posts from the philippines will be less inspiring if this weather continues on. sadly, i think it will go on for months :( :( :(

so here i am trying my best to wear the most decent weather-appropriate ensemble without really taking my clothes off. good thing though that the trend now is innerwear being the new outer wear so we all can show off our bras (in this case, corset) without getting too much attention...or that just goes for us un-gifted ones?

thrifted tank top. corset from my grandma's closet. Mango high-waisted jeans. H&M pumps. random gold cuff and cocktail rings.

so how did you weekend go lovelies?

saturday, we all went to cavite for my sister's father-in-law's 40th day. i always love going there even if it's 2 hours away from our house just because i love talking with mama ched. i think she's the funniest and she's smart too. i wish i'll have a mother-in-law just like her too. there was major food overload too from the cebu lechon, morcon, hamonado, beef brocolli, lasagna to blueberry cheesecake (the best!!!!). had a couple of wine too while my mom, mama ched and kuya edcel repeatedly bugged me to find someone who is like this and like that. i swear that if i still get the next one wrong, i just have to strangle myself. LOL.

come sunday, i had my usual movie marathon weekend. i want to get away from my computer on weekends as much as possible. i watched the invention of lying and whip it.
i love love love love them both!
the invention of lying was something fresh and different. it kind of makes you appreciate euphemism =P
whip it was surprisingly WOW! as in WOW! never thought drew barrymore can direct so well! the story was great too. had some tear drops there too. i liked that it tackled all the different aspects of a teen's life from family, friends, boyfriends and ambitions. it was realistic and i guess that's what makes it special. ellen page is the cutest and that swimming pool scene was too cute and sweet. watch it and see for yourselves!

monday again tomorrow :( there goes our weekend :(

take two on the vivienne tam and cropped corset

cropped corset given by my grandma. Vivienne Tam skirt. blue liquid leggings given by my cousin. Janylin oxfords. Artikel cocktail ring. blue cuff from bohol. other bangles given by a friend.

so you've probably seen me wear this but even if you search my blog you won't see it because i deleted the entry after realizing it was blah. seeing that it was so plain, i added the blue liquid leggings my cousin gave me a long time ago to add a little kick to it. so much better right? =)

P.S.
i never realized that masquerade masks make your nose look sarat. LOL.
