head to toe black and blue

hello, monday! 

so remember from my last post i said that i'm going to Cochrane this weekend? well, it didn't quite push through. Grace had to cancel the last minute and Dee and I were already in Downtown having lunch at an Irish Pub so we thought that we just might as well stay (and the weather was so good for us to stay in). The supposed Cochrane trip ended up with a full day Downtown taking pictures, strolling around, window shopping and shopping at Winners (got myself a $16 fur vest! will show you in the next few posts). Always trust Dee and I to make the most out of the worst possible situations ;) then for dinner, we went to Subway to try the $5 footlooooooooooong that everyone's been talking about! for sure, it was looooooong (yummy too!)...Dee and I had to share it (and oh the Macadamia cookies were to die fooooooor too!!!)! we wanted to go to Ship and Anchor but ended up in Kensington (happens when you are both new  to Calgary) so we just had some few drinks at The Yardhouse while watching hockey (can you believe me saying this???). The night was young but we had a long day ahead of us already and the perfect way to end it is with a bottle of wine while listening to music at my place :)

friday night at Gary's was fun too! he cooked some stir fry for dinner. he had sisha (I tried it but failed...apparently i don't do well with sucking. LOL), I had wine. laid down in the couch, watched Waiting (thought it was hilariiiiiiiious!!! and oh, i saw Ryan Reynolds' abs once again...sigh), laid down in the bed then decided that it's time to go home. chillax Fridays is loooove and so are guy friends :)

have you guys tried buying tights from Safeway? the tights I'm wearing here are from Safeway and I tell you, they are the best tights everrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

last thanksgiving while everyone was being melodramatic, i said thanks to one thing i don't express gratitude for--MY LONG LEGS. yup, superficial as it may sound, i am actually really really grateful. why? well, long legs can take you far and not everyone's actually blessed to have long legs. other people would kill to have long gams! other people can't wear OTK boots because their legs are too short and OTK boots would eat them whole. most individuals do not have the privilege to actually feel how empowering and how sexy it is to wear OTK boots. 

i guess what i'm saying is...thank God for my long legs because i can wear OTK boots. 

so i'm superficial. whatever!

so here are some random photos from my trip to cochrane last last weekend. the main post is here if you haven't checked it out yet :)

friday was all about dinner and some pre-christmas party hosted by the filipino community in cochrane. saturday was all about the pacquiao fight, of course. we watched the fight at ducks on the roof with fellow filipinos while the mexicans at the bar were pretty sport to accepted their defeat ;)

if last weekend was full of parties since i was out-of-town, this weekend was definitely steady. i officially returned the zara OTK boots i was wearing in this post because they were uncomfy. then i passed by Spring to get some new OTK boots which is like 75% less than the price of the ones from Zara. i also placed some orders to be shipped. overall, i ordered 4 boots for just $149! can you believe it??? the ones from Zara are more expensive than $149!!!! ms. happy giddy shoe shopper me went to the gym after then headed home to watch GG, ANTM and Kell on Earth. saturday was gym day again and movie marathon day (watched Single Man and The Good Guy). sunday was gym day again then headed to deerfoot mall with my sister and benj. i bought 2 new toques and 2 new gloves. i was looking for a winter coat at winners but they do not have my size (for the Anne Klein coat i was eyeing on)...it was only $99...too bad :(

well, that was my weekend...2 weekends in a row.
