fringe feast

 i was supposed to post this tomorrow but i couldn't help but share it with you guys! and besides, it's remembrance day tomorrow and i learned the last minute that i don't have to work (going to chinook with deryl)...yehey for holiday with pay! :)

i can't recall the last time i was so excited about a blog post but this one made me giddy! i never intended to shoot today but this knit fringe sweater is just so blog-worthy!!! it kind of reminded me of something fashiontoast's rumi neely would wear. i also never thought the photos would turn out as great as this!

do you remember this fringe? i've worn it before as a top (here) because well, it is really a top. i just thought that it would look nice too as a skirt...although i know that most of you would think "ati-atihan" or it looks like a sack but for me, it is just another quirky skirt :) i do think it is also so perfect with the polo abby gave me :) i've worn the polo too before but i removed the ribbon around the neck this time. i absolutely love this polo! i love the sleeves and i love that it is very dramatic! i love the color and the cuffs at the wrists! :) although it is a little hot to wear in my beloved tropical country. HMPF. well, what else is new?

i have two current addictions: booties and tumblr  :) :) :)

i am salivating over all types of booties now from slouchy, fringe, over the knee, combat...just everything and anything you can think of! even if i live in a tropical country, i do not care! i think booties are the best way to give any outfit an oomph and it is great whether with shorts, skirts, jeans, leggings and tights. i still have to get my work around working it with jeans though. i think i need to find the skinniest gray jeans for xmas. yes, the same effing thing i want last year that up to know i couldn't quite get! although, i have good news y'all. since i am always working, working and did i mention...working? HAHA! i decided to give myself some reward...i will buy booties this friday! yay yay! i am excited! hopefully, i will be able to get the one that i really want and not the one out of frustration (which tends to happen when i am so giddy and do not have anything in my size).

my other addiction and where i got the pics from *drumroll* TUMBLR! why do i love tumblr so much?

1) i find lookbook to be boring lately. lookbook is becoming overrated that even the ones who are not worthy are invited. there are some pics that are not really about the "looks" already but about artsy fartsy pics. don't get me wrong, i love artsy pictures but isn't lookbook supposed to be about fashion and not photography? in tumblr, of course there are lookbook pics too that i "click the heart" if i like them but there are other fashion-inspired sites too like streetstyle, fashionfever and celebrity fashion pics too.

2) i find FB full of BVs and nonsense comments. i used to love FB but since i found out about tumblr, i was less and less hanging and snooping around other people's lives in FB. according to an FB poll, i only spend 2 hours in FB in a day. i think that is pretty much really below the line compared to my other friends who are using FB to play farmville, mafia wars, poker, restaurant city, etc. when i log on to FB and i do not have any notifications, messages or pics to post, i simply log off and continue with my work. if i have the time, i will check my sister's FB, cousins' FB and my two BFFs FB (nez and nelly). it is better to hang out in tumblr because you only click like or in tumblr's case "the heart". you cannot comment. you can just reblog. in short, compared with FB, since there are no comments allowed, there would be less BVs.

lastly, i love tumblr because i do not know the people i follow and the people who follow me except for abby. it is a better feeling dealing with people who do not know you and you do not know. what is good about tumblr too is that the pictures really vary and they can cheer you up any day.

no, this entry is not to encourage you to join tumblr. LOL.

i am reunited with my two fave girls of all time: nezie and nelly =) plus i am also reunited with the outside social world! gawd, i've missed it soooo bad!!! i was singing "i gotta feeling" the whole day! excited much?

i have another fave girl, nezie's childhood friend, aireen ;) she's back in manila after 11 years of staying in canada and it was her last day in manila.

the itinerary: dinner at rockwell club, cocktails at establishment and karaoke at music 21 =)

FYI, i had only a glass of vanilla 7 and i had soooo much fun even with that small amount of alcohol! proud of me? =)

okay, i got lost for a moment there when i tried to channel blair waldorf but i am now back to my ol' serena self :) :) :)

here's to more sparkly tops, manly blazers and tights...reunited and it feels sooo good. LOL ;)

so the story of the day is that i was bummed because i felt like all i do is concentrate on my freelance writing job that i am stuck at home all the time. so, i rebeled for a moment and didn't get articles to write for the day. ooohh, it felt sooooo good!!!

went to have coffee with the boyfriend at CBTL in technohub. i miss my regular warm soy chai latte so so much although the sun showing up was quite a spoiler! good thing it rained once again or i would have removed my blazer and my tights and left the world to see my unshaved legs exposed. ick.

before going home, we side tracked to a thrift store in fairview and i was able to buy a fringe top for P84!!! even if it was the only thing i was able to buy, i was like in cloud 9! i am super obsessed with fringe!!! i thought i can wear it only on night outs but i had an epiphany when i got home (i won�t say muna just wait for me to wear it)�oh, it is soooo on!!!!!!!
