Pretty sure that everyone is still sleepy after waking up one hour before their usually waking up time. Hellowwww, spring forward! It would've been less brutal if I slept much this weekend but I unfortunately didn't. I slept 4 am Friday (or should I say, Saturday?) after watching Beastly with Gosling and talking nonsense/sense till the wee hours. I had to wake up 10ish the next day to go to work then I had a few hours to just relax before meeting up the girls for some drinks at Hudson's before heading to the Parkshow. The Parkshow didn't turn out as I expected, I was a bit disappointed with some aspects but that would be for a whole different entry. While everyone else went to Hifi after the show, Ash and I decided to stick around, drink a couple more, danced a bit until her hubby picked us up. I was home at midnight before the car turns into a pumpkin but Cinderella was up till 2 editing photos from the show ;)

Sunday was supposedly for Breakfast Club but I was too tired from Friday and Saturday that I decided to just stay in and watch "How Do You Know" only to remember that I owe Gary some meal. Since it was amazing 8C degrees on Sunday, I decided to just text him and go out for sushi. We had happy hour lovers boat sushi deluxe at Sakana Grill, talked, laughed and went home at 4 pm. By 5 pm, I was asleep like a baby.

HAPPY NEW WEEK Y'ALL :)

so yesterday we watched the black eyed peas concert at the saddledome. it was pretty amaziiiiiiiiiing!!!! my first concert here in canada and it was already memorable :) t-pain opened the show and then the black eyed peas did their thing...couldn't help but dance the night away even in my 3-inch high wedges! i must say that these wedges are pretty comfortable :) i think my fave part of the show was will.i.am's set. i didn't know he's such a good dj! if he's the one spinning every night, i would definitely goooooo!!!! but of course, i looooove apl de ap...he makes all of us proud to be filipinos :) and oh, fergie sang my life's theme song...big girls don't cry. now i can say naka-duet ko na si fergie LOL ;)

the cropped top i was wearing is the perfect thing to wear although it basically lost its essence because it was freeziiiiiiiiiing cold last night!!! i had to wear my leather high-waisted shorts instead of the usual denim shorts. inside the arena, it was perfect because of all the dancing and stuff but outside....my legs were freeziiiiiiing to death!!!! canada weather has been so crazaaaaay lately! some even said that there was really no summer this year...now i miss the philippines' heat!!! sigh :(

hello saturday!

my whole week was such a whirlwind with all the errands, meet-up with friends and hospital responsibilities. my dad is still in the hospital but thank God he is out of the ICU already :) i feel sad to be spending my last few weeks in the country in the hospital when i should be relaxing and enjoying but sadly, i have no choice :( so forgive me if my blog posts are all made in a hurry or if i've been absent lately. i seriously miss blog hopping :( it's one of the things that make me EXTREMELY happy!!!

moving along, i spent my thursday with my old colleagues again after going to the hospital to visit my dad. watched inception at rockwell with choy then had dinner at kitchen and drink at gilligan's. i have no pictures to share since it was such a spontaneous night out. then come friday, i had my nails done (it's avocado green!) after going to the hospital yet again then i watched toy story at home and had pizza (we are currently obsessed with pizza hut's P499 promo) with my mom, grandmom and tita. after which i went to meet up with aids at starbucks then dinner and drinks with sunshine and jayvee. it's just a jampacked week!!! 

i sold this MJ top already (because it makes me look fat!!!) but i'm happy with the fact that my best friend was the one who bought it :)

hello tuesday! tuesday is the only time on weekdays wherein i can be relaxed because i don't have to work (although i have a lot chores to do and i go to church with mom at night) and that only means one thing, i have time to blog! :)

i've never been this excited with any outfit before! i don't know but there's something about this outfit that makes me giddy to share it with everyone. i've been thinking about the sheer top i found in my mom's closet (which is originally my sister's but she sadly admits she was the one who bought it) ever since lace became a trend again. i thought the sheer top would be so perfect with blazers (just like lace tops). then a few days ago, i saw stylescrapbook and theblondesalad wearing their sheer tops and i knew i just had to revive mine (it's mine now, ha!). 

the original plan was to wear it with a blazer but i thought it would be perfect with these high-waisted leather shorts i bought last friday from the thrift store (guess how much i got it for??)...and wahlah, it didn't disappoint me! it looks so much in sync...like it was meant to be! :) :) :) plus i've always wanted to rock the closed button button-down polo look ever since i saw liz uy rocked it a couple of times during philippine fashion week.

when i twitpic the first photo for my sister to see, she said she loved it and it looks like a "sosyal na kontrabida (classy villain)". i really wanted to show her that this sheer top can actually be reinvented in a way that it won't look hoochy.

whoever said that sheer with leather is hoochy, didn't know how to style ;)

i have one problem with these leather shorts though...you have to make sure that when being photographed, it is all ironed and straightened out because a few wrinkles would make it look like you have a bulge (note to self: maintain proper posture all the time). HAHA!!!

but tell me...the hair pulled back and braided is so perfect for this outfit, yeah? :)
