debuting my LANVIN

FINALLY I GET TO WEAR MY LANVIN FUR JACKET!!!! Abby always asks me when I'll get to wear it and I've always told her that I couldn't find the occasion to wear it to.  I've always thought that it was too dressy for Calgary. Nonetheless, I let my creative fashion juices flow and finally thought of an outfit. I kept everything so simple and subdued because I want the fur jacket to stand out the most plus I was feeling a bit rocker-ish that day/night so I wore it with faux leather leggings, a plain white shirt and some combat boots.

This may sound gross but I wore the exact same outfit two days in a row. Saturday, I went with Dee Downtown. We were supposed to go to Holt Renfrew but we passed by The Bay and I saw this perfect wedge booties from Chinese Laundry which was on sale (from $120 to $25). MAJOR SCORE!!! And then we had to find a bank, go to dinner and little did we know it was already 7:30 and we had to go to 17th to meet up with Amy at Ship and Anchor. 

 As usual, Ship and Anchor was trouble and we got home at around 4 am (talked about ridiculous, silly, stupid moments with some boys that night over cookies, Old Dutch chips and cinnamon rolls). We had to crash at Amy's place without any clothes to spare so we literally slept in the same clothes (totally acceptable when you had too much vodka to drink). Wearing the same darn clothes the next day, we had toast, jam, coffee, strawberries and yogurt...yet again, we couldn't stop talking (that's just us when we're all together + Amy's mom, I guess). Amy's mom drove us after our brunch and Dee and I had to take photos in front of my house just because you cannot have TOO much photos when you're wearing LANVIN, agree? :)

I literally hopped in the shower and then to bed, slept from 4pm-8pm and just when I have no food left, I was starving to death and couldn't sleep. But then someone was spontaneous enough to go for a quick run to Denny's at 1 am even in the middle of a snow storm which I had no idea about (I was literally in my sweats and a hoodie). I ate burger and fries while he had fish and fries; talked until 4 am and seriously, if it wasn't Monday that day, I would've stayed and talked until 7 am...ever had those moments?

HAPPY MIDWEEK LOVELIES :)

so here are some other photos from my bday weekend (as if my celeb on my exact bday wasn't enough! see bday blog post here)...it was surprising that the skies cleared out for my bday weekend because last week was just freezing! it was i think 22 degrees celcuis last saturday and although that would be like baguio weather already in the philippines, it felt hot! i think my skin is slowly adapting to canada's weather...which is a good thing because ever since i got here, all of my concerns are skin-related. i had soooooo many issues!!! luckily, my skin is getting better and i now know how to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! :)

so i had an extended celebration last weekend. it was a small celebration because i don't really know anyone here YET and even if i know people, they're from far awaaaaay. canada is just too big, man, i'm telling you! so i had 5 guests--my sister, my brother-in-law, my friend (from the PI and now from cochrane) grace, grace's hubby, steve and my brother-in-law's officemate and now my friend too (cos we are bounded by local showbiz chismis HAHA), carla. i had a small filipino feast of pancit (for long life, of course!), lumpiang shanghai, lechon manok, lechon kawali, escabeche, veggies and a black forest cake c/o carla :) yes, it was too much for my 5 guests. i ate leftovers until yesterday. LOL! and to make the filipino feast complete, may videoke at inuman :)

about the outfit...i was feeling alexa chung-ish ;) that's all.

HAPPY MID-WEEK LOVELIES!

yesterday was one heck of a day. i received some bad news in the morning and i thought it won't get better any time soon but God is really good and He never failed me once in my life...so here He is again making sure that He won't disappoint me. I'm crossing my fingers that everything will be okay tomorrow and the next few days. i know that God has other plans for me and if I just completely put my trust in Him, everything will fall into place :)

moving on...i've always wanted to try the military trend cos i've read in people that it's going to be a big trend for fall. i got these combat boots at value village when i went on their 50% off sale last monday and i completely fell in love with it! its too perfect for jeans!!!!
